1977 Cessna 177 RG
1977 Cessna 177RG / Cardinal RG
N52073 SN 177RG1161
AIRFRAME: 3737 HOURS TOTAL TIME
ENGINE: 1564 HOURS SMOH - MATTITUCK [Feb 1991]
PROP: 586 SINCE OVERHAUL [NOVEMBER 2008]
PAINT: OVERALL WHITE WITH LIGHT BURGUNDY, MEDIUM SILVER & BLACK TRIM.
The aircraft paint [repainted in December 2007] has a beautiful wet luster over the entire airframe and shows well even very close up. There is one very small chip of missing paint on the right wing leading edge root fairing, one small chip on the spinner at one of the attachment screws, and a small area of missing paint on the backing plate at the base of the prop, and one small chip on the belly. The cap for the right wing strobe/Nav light has a scratch on the paint.
There are some light scratches in the paint on the exhaust fairing – detectable only when close up. The areas where the cowling halves join together are very clean and void of any paint chipping. And there is no chipping around the Skybolt cowling fasteners.
Important history notes – This airplane has been regularly flown. In the past three years the plane has flown about 300 hours. [Owner is upgrading to a Columbia 350]

In 1988, the right wing tip and outer most rib were replaced as a result of the pilot swerving on landing roll-out. The pilot door was damaged in a windstorm in 2002. The door was replaced with a new door & a new skin forward of the door frame. In January of this year the stabilator skins were replaced due to a hangar rash event.
INTERIOR: TAN LEATHER SEATS AND SIDE PANELS WITH TAN FABRIC TRIM. TAN CARPET.
The interior was redone in January 2008 and consists predominantly of tan leather on the seats and side panels, with fabric trim strips also on the side panels. The interior is very clean with no tears, loose stitching, fading, or noticeable wear on the leather, fabric, or carpet. There is some very light scuffing on the high carpet contact areas in the front of the cabin at the rudder pedals, and baggage area floor that can only be detected upon close examination. The plastic trim exhibits a very clean and smooth finish with no cracking. The headliner is very clean with no gaps.
The windshield and cabin windows are clear, with minimal very light scratches.
As with all of our listed aircraft, I have fully test flown this Cardinal. All systems work flawlessly. Power for take-off and climb was very strong and a cruise check resulted with a solid 144 Knots true airspeed at 5,500 feet and 75% power.
